At the Cancer Support Community, we recognize that cancer affects not only the person who is diagnosed but family and friends, too. Whether you are looking for information, resources or simply want to connect with others going through similar experiences, the Cancer Support Community has something for you.
We believe that you have the ability to make a difference. In this section, you'll find information and resources specifically for caregivers, those who provide physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, or logistical support to a person diagnosed with cancer.
The Cancer Support Community and our partners Caring from a Distance, Living Beyond Breast Cancer, the
National Family Caregivers Association, and the Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving would like to dedicate
this booklet to honor the vital energy and devotion of short and long-distance caregivers in cities, towns, and
neighborhoods nationwide.
The Cancer Support Community, in partnership with Nueva Vida, Inc., has developed a Spanish-language publication for Latino cancer caregivers. Frankly Speaking About Cancer: De Cuidador a Cuidador (From Caregiver to Caregiver) provides much-needed information for caregivers of women with breast cancer. Topics discussed include honest communication between caregiver and patient, along with tips for navigating the health care system.
